Funding approach
The Sivar Family Foundation is privately administered by the founding family. We invite proposals from pre-selected organizations and do not accept unsolicited applications for the Foundation Initiative Fund or Special Projects.
- Seed funding for innovative educational programs (often start-up grants).
- Focus on economically and socially disadvantaged refugees and immigrants.
- Primary geography: Northeast Florida; exceptions considered for special projects.
- Tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations only.
Funding priorities & amounts
- Priority areas: Education, Muslim Life, Interfaith Programs.
- Typical grant size: $10,000 – $25,000.
- Preference for organizations with annual operating budgets under $2M.
- Grants outside Jacksonville, modest capital, and endowment grants are allowed.
- Exclusions: grants to religious organizations and religious schools.
